How to use hibiscus
This beautiful red plant is best known for its use in tea blends and infusions. Hibiscus powder has a fine texture and mixes easily. Just 1–2 teaspoons are enough for a gorgeous colour and a fresh taste.

IMPORTANT 💡
Hibiscus colour is naturally sensitive to pH. In an acidic environment it has a deep red shade, while combined with milk (nearly neutral pH) it takes on a purple tone. Adding lemon in this case will lighten the colour.
This is a natural reaction of plant pigments (anthocyanins), which can make your drink playfully change colour and flavour.

How much should I use?

Why does my hibiscus turn purple?
Hibiscus colour depends on the drink’s pH. In water or an acidic environment the infusion is deep red, but if you add milk or other nearly neutral ingredients, the pigments (anthocyanins) react and the drink takes on a gentle purple hue. Adding an acid such as lemon will lighten the colour and shift it back towards pink or red.
What is the correct storage and shelf life?
Store in a dry, dark place and keep tightly sealed. After opening, use within a reasonable time.

We will send you a return shipping label by email. Attach it to the parcel and bring it to your nearest pickup point. You can find the list of pickup points here. Simply hand over the parcel with the attached label, and we will arrange transportation to our central warehouse at our expense.
Once we receive the goods (usually within one week), we will either send you replacement goods or refund the money to the bank account specified in the form you submitted.
